In September 2024, at 9 months pregnant, Zay Brown did something most people would call crazy. She bought a wakesurfing business.

"I bought a business as my push present — from me, to me."

She was a complete beginner. She'd never surfed. She'd never run a watersports company. But she'd fallen so completely in love with the sport — and the feeling it gave people — that she decided to own it. Literally.

WavemastersDXB relaunched in October 2024, one month after Zay gave birth. Today it's Dubai's most-loved wakesurfing experience, with a 5.0★ rating and a community that keeps coming back.
